The Ajuda Foundation is in the throes of preparing for the Mental Health and Wellbeing Awards, and with 13 categories celebrating the unsung heroes of mental health and wellbeing in Wales, from workplace wellbeing to inspiring young people, there is plenty to celebrate.

The judges have made their decisions and, let me tell you, it was no easy task. Discussions galore, and a wrestling match or two – not really. It was all extremely amicable, and we were able to choose our finalists and winners without coming to blows! Our discussions are always difficult though, because every nominee seems to be doing such good work.

So, with our finalists and winners in place, we’re able to turn our attention to the ceremony itself, which means a lot of to-ing and fro-ing between sponsors, the programme designer, the trophy engravers and, of course, getting the venue ready for The Big Day. This year, the awards are on 9th October, and we’re back at the Mercure Holland House Hotel in Cardiff. It’s going to be a truly marvellous day, full of celebration, kindness and joy, so make sure you book your tickets to come along. We’d love it if you joined us!
